i was honestly not even going to publish this piece. but smthg in me said, just do it. Just let it go. Thank u for reading and i hope this piece stays with you for a long time, but i also wish u donāt have to ever relate to this
Nostalgia doesn't always need to be destructive; it is a wave of all the past emotions resurfacing and crossing your mind. It can be happy or neutral too, if you want it to be.
Yes, when you lose something or someone, you never intended to, it can play with your mind. The memories can appear once again. But what can one do is, be firm.
Quoting you for instance, during my breakouts, you were the one to guide me that, "simply don't let it bother you".
Same goes here.
I don't mean to say, become inhuman and loose the sense of grief or sorrow; they are the key emotions to shape a human being. But try to make the lived memories insignificant to you and just move ahead with learnings from those experiences.
I would like to quote myself here, nostalgia does come to me, but due to my indifference and lack of interest, it fails to take me down. I neither get sad, nor happy, because I have simply stopped caring.
Don't leave a room for the emotions caused by the people to whom you do not matter. Just focus on your growth, and all the past life will stop intruding.
(Yes, I say it, it will only intrude when you let it to.)
I really do want to disagree here; Love is not a lie. Love is a very deep emotion, often confused with feeling joyous and grateful for a person. Humans are incapable of expressing and experiencing the pure form of love. Yes, you might have experienced an outburst of love (maybe, by me), but that statement is actually false, it indeed is an outburst of embracing the other person.
Love is, falling for something or someone so hard, that you become handicapped when they leave and not recover from the shock. IT MAY STIMULATE A PERSON TO GO CRAZY OR KILL THEMSELVES. Pure love holds the capability to destroy a human from his core.
We (as in you and me) are mere young adults, from a generation in which materialism is considered superior to care. So, we might not be able to ever experience the pure form of love, ever in our lives and for once, we might be lucky to not experience love for the potential of grief it can cause.
Love is an emotion present in all the beings, but it truly never unfolds to its potential.
This is, majorly, the philosophy I believe in. Practically I do believe that any bond is incomplete without love (used loosely, to refer to joy, grace, validation, and other happy emotions).
Oh, Luv! This was so beautifully written. You defined love so beautifully, very truthfully. Love is very much a lie but I'll still stay true to that lie hoping it won't stay a lie.
I truly understand this feeling of loving someone even after they betray you. I don't have it in me to hate them even when I hate what they have done. Loving anyone as a poet means art so to me it is only right they live forever on the pages of our hearts.
I loveee loveeeddd your writing literally felt like I was reading something that should be on a paper written in ink devastatingly beautiful and ofcourse absolutely LOVED the song references š„¹š¤

I have never hated anyone. Some hearts are not made for hate.
Iām sorry, I feel this was so hard for you to accept and decide on. I feel your sorrow.
